Newbies, to create a character demo, try connecting with a writer who writes CHARACTER driven stories (most are plot driven ~ think anything with Tom Cruise in it) that are meant for audio. Especially with lots of dialogue, The best have experiences writing vos. Especially timed vos. They write tight. Most writers like this focus on their writing. Even if they have experience with audio, they don’t have the equipment or know how to use a board. Extra points for a character driven writer who writes in the 2nd person, “You xyz..” Advertisers always write their copy/vos in the 2nd person to engage the audience directly & immediately. Bonus tip: if you know a children’s author who is willing to work with you, you’re golden.

When Chuck said he responds to emails he’s not joking. I watched an episode of Booth Junkie and Chuck said something I need more clarification on. I reached out to Chuck and he responded the same day. He walks the walk. It is said to be successful to set goals. My goal is to get to a point where I can work with Chuck and Stacey. They seem like people you would a bunch of laughs with while working on a demo that Rocks!
